All of the coaches have passed a PAA training course before becoming an approved Professional Angling Coach.

Coaching sessions can be arranged for all abilities from absolute beginners to open match anglers, and are suitable for all ages. All of the PAA coaches have had first-aid training, and have public liability insurance, and have been trained in health and safety issues.

I can personally recommend the services of a gentleman called Gord Parker. I met Gord at a recent visit to the much admired Glebe Fishery and a short lesson on how to approach the fishing saw me weigh in 98 lb on the first day of our match and 196 lb on the second day. He's certainly got sweetcorn fishing sorted out !. The Glebe is a members only fishery but owner 'Ray' Marlow lets Gord use the fishery for his lessons (you'll have to ask Gord about day ticket costs, I can't remember asking him). Whatever the cost, a visit to the Glebe is absolutely guaranteed to be a day to remember. The place is completely stuffed with fish, mostly carp and bream although there are some hefty barbel in Lake 1. It's also a really beautiful fishery, wonderfully kept and manicured. In fact you'll probably be ready to pay your membership fee after about an hour's fishing.

So if you're anywhere near the Midlands then book a day with Gord and get him to take you to the Glebe, you'll be pleased that you did.
