Fishing Tackle & Equipment - What's New on the Site

These are the latest changes to our site

I
've posted an article on fishing for Sturgeon in British Columbia. It was probably the best holiday of my life and I wanted to share it with a few friends.

The Forum is no more - R.I.P. It just did not catch on, so we've replaced it with a WebLog, a type of digital diary. In this WebLog Dave Pearson, Mark Hathway and myself will keep you up to date with where we've been fishing, what we caught, who won etc, plus all the other gossip that we hear on the Surrey match scene. We often fish together in Leatherhead club matches, mainly because we've been members of that club for years, but also because they have some of the biggest club matches in the country - 40 to 50 members on a club match is not unusual. People move up to our club matches once they've mastered the local open circuit !!. On the other hand, we also do our own thing on occasions, so we should be able to get a good range of news from the local club and league matches.

At last we've brought back the Angling UK Forum. This is the place to post those tricky questions. Looking for a replacement for a long lost reel ? - try asking our members. Dave Pearson (of Pikey's Progress fame) has agreed to act as moderator. He's well up on match and general coarse fishing, and has been known to fling the occasional fly. We also hope to have another moderator who is in to specimen angling plus fishing in Ireland. Remember, the board is your chance to express your thoughts, hopes and fears of everything fishy, so please use it.

Gold Valley Lakes have now launched their new web site www.goldvalleylakes.com

The software that we were using for the forum has proven troublesome, so the forum has gone away until we can find and install some better software.
"What's new in the Tackle Shop" will be updated with every new product that we put on to the shop, thus enabling you to identify any new tackle or equipment without having to wade through hundreds of items in the shop.
I just don't have enough time in the week to put up match results and reports, in any case my mate Dave Johnson is doing such an amazing job with www.matchangler.com that it would simply be a duplication of effort.
I've updated bits and bobs of fishery news, see the venue reports for details

I'm sorry that we've been so quiet lately, we've been building a HUGE fishing links database that currently contains over 800 fishy sites. We've still got loads more sites to check out, and think that we could end up with 1,5000 links to other fishing web sites throughout the world. You can click here to have a look at what's been achieved so far.....let us know what you think.
