| This classic pattern is the definitive 'D' rig style hook, designed with pop-up baits in mind. Featuring a straight, needle sharp point, splinter barb, extended shank and ten degree in-turned eye, it is very difficult to eject. The bait is tied to a rig ring that slides on an extended mono 'D' loop that is whipped onto the back of the shank. When the carp attempts to blow both bait and hook out it invariably fails because the bait moves along the 'D', leaving the hook inside the carp's mouth.
