The Vario Heavy Feeder continues the tradition of progressive through action rods, anglers have come to expect from rods carrying the Vario name. Manufactured from a high modulus blank the Heavy Feeder has a powerful through action that continues right through to the butt. This creates a very forgiving tool that absorbs sudden lunges of big fish under the rod tip eliminating hook pulls. The Heavy Feeder has a stronger feel to it than the Medium Feeder, and will cast feeders between 1.5 and 3oz up to 90m in the hands of experienced casters. For best results use mainlines from 4 to 8lb and hooklengths from 0.13mm - 0.20mm. A Fuji IPS Reel Seat provides a safe and secure non-slip reel attachment to the high modulus carbon blank and exclusive Fox SLIK lined rings have been used throughout making the rod perfet for braided mainlines. A small hook retaining ring has been placed on the underside of the blank.
