Following extensive research Fox found their most common requirements were for shorter blanks with a softer playing action, ideally fitted with shorter handles making them generally more manageable in the confines of a small boat. Slim handles that would fit properly into rod holders were essential. Some wanted to use fixed spool reels and others multipliers so we built rods to cater for both, each having the correct reel seat and ringing. Finally, although originally intended for bait fishing, during the testing of these rods, Fox found that they also made great rods for trolling lures too. They also pick up line very well when using a drifter float and braid.
