| The sister rod to the Excel Spod, this Rocket Rod is designed for casting lighter spods and bait rockets with total accuracy. Because bait rockets and 'slim style' spods are lighter and more dynamically shaped than bigger spods, the 'Rocket' has been designed with a faster, crisper action. The faster taper allows the more aerodynamic mini spods and rockets to achieve maximum distance. The twelve-foot blank is constructed from high modulus carbon, carefully selected and wrapped to achieve rapid compression. The blank delivers optimum performance with spods and rockets up to 150gm in weight, though it has latitude to handle slightly heavier payloads if necessary. | |
