3 small batteries (supplied) power 3 LED's to give anabsolutely amazing amount of light. I've got one that I've used for occasional night fishing and it's like having a fluorescent light attached to your head, yet this little beauty weighs only around 4 ounces. The LED's are low power consumption which means that a set of batteries will last for many hours, in fact they will last 12 hours before there is any reduction in light output.
The light is fitted to an elasticated headband so comfortable that you'll forget that you're wearing it.
