| Daiwa sell this as a pole suitable for everything from carp fishing to canal fishing, so I've put it here in the 'all-rounders'. The men in the know are buying this pole as an out and out carp pole, and they know best. William Raison and Tommy Pickering both used this pole on last years world championships on a carp dominated canal in Spain, and you've got to believe that these two anglers have the choice of just about any pole on the market. The fact that they chose to fish with the 412 is a huge recommendation. The pole is built on the same mandrel as the Tournament X, but using a different grade of carbon to produce a slightly heavier (1030g at 14.5m against the 990g of the Tournament X), slightly softer pole, but a stronger pole, more suited to carp fishing. The pole is supplied with a carp top two for elastics up to 16, plus three spare 3.3m match kits (12 elastic max). I know that it doesn't make sense to supply a carp pole with spare match kits, I can only assume that Daiwa are trying to sell extra carp top two's !.
