We've switched to the latest version of our shopping cart software which allows us to enter more variations of our products. You'll notice some differences in the laytout, and lots of new products, especially in the Predator, Trout and Sea tackle sections.

Preston Innovations have just introduced Reflo Powerline, a high tech line from Japan. I used it yesterday at Gold Valley and it seems excellent, nice and soft, but strong for its diameter. I know that when canal fishing, the advantage of these high tech lines is that you can use an even finer diameter line than normal, but I feel that when carp fishing in summer when the water is normally very coloured, you are much better off increasing line strength whilst keeping to the same diameter line.

Advancing years affect all of us in different ways, and I'm now finding that it takes me several minutes to find the slit in tiny split shot !!. Even indoors, with reading glasses on, it's not easy shotting pole floats with tiny size 12 and 13 shots. There is now a solution. Costing £8.65, this amazing little device cuts the slits in the shot, locates the slit on the line, and applies the shot centrally to the line. It is available in shot sizes 8, 10, 12 and 13. Refill pots of uncut shot cost £1.99 each.

D.A.M have introduced a couple of new poles offering excellent value for money. The Silver Match is priced at £200, reduced to £149.99, whilst the Golden Carp is reduced from £399 to £299.

D.A.M. have also introduced a super new feeder rod called the Flying Dutchman. The rod is fishable at two different lengths and has a combination of different top sections and quiver tips to give you a rod capable of fishing everything from a straight lead to a method feeder. Again, we've got an excellent deal, with the rod reduced from £159.95 to £109.99.

Browning have brought out a very well priced 'Hook & Hold' 6m pole at £49.99. The pole is already cut back and bushed, and takes elastic up to size 18. Spare top 3's are priced at £19.99

Finally, we have two bargains on Shimano tackle. We have Baitrunner 6010's at £47.50, that's just about the lowest price I've ever seen for this world famous big fish reel. We've also got three models of the Symetre Specimen rods at prices between £94.95 and £104.95, giving savings between £40 and £50.
